My Journey to a Healthier Me: Preparing for the Big Day and Beyond
Embarking on a journey towards a healthier lifestyle is a deeply personal and transformative experience. With my wedding just around the corner, I’ve found a powerful motivation to become the best version of myself. While I firmly believe that weight loss isn't a prerequisite for a beautiful wedding, using this momentous occasion as a catalyst for positive change feels right.
The day I bought my wedding dress, I felt a surge of confidence and joy. I told myself that I looked amazing and that I would have happily gotten married the next day without changing anything about my body. And this is true—the dress made me feel incredible and self-assured. But as I admired myself, a thought crossed my mind: what if I lost some weight? I am already on a weight loss—pardon, fat loss—journey, so using my wedding day and wedding dress as my "whys" wouldn't be so bad and it wouldn’t be lying. These reasons can actually give me the momentum I need.
My partner is amazing, and I am truly lucky to be loved and feel supported no matter my weight or size. However, I want to clarify that I am doing this for me, not for him. I am embarking on this journey not only because I want to look and feel a certain way for my big day but also because I want to look and feel amazing for life.
Moving forward, I am going to document my weight loss and health journey through this blog and my social media platforms. If you want to support me through this journey, all I ask is that you follow me on social media and my blog. I will also be sending my new blog as a newsletter, so if you would like to subscribe, feel free to do so. I will leave the link down below.
